This short Phuket Golf Break is ideal if you are looking for a quick holiday in Phuket with a couple of rounds of golf – especially over a weekend. Although golf in Phuket is more expensive than some other regions, at least they do not charge any extra to play at weekends.

Blue Canyon Country Club, although it has been around for a while, retains its position as one of the top clubs in Thailand. It’s also very close to the airport so its ideally placed if you want to play just after your arrival or you can go straight to the airport after playing there.
The Lakes Course meanders through open parkland with rubber trees lining most fairways and you also need to negotiate the numerous lakes left over from the tin mines that used to operate on this site. It is most famous for its finishing hole with a daunting approach over a hazard – unless you position your drive perfectly you have no choice but to lay up.
Red Mountain Golf Club is set in spectacular surroundings in the centre of the island and is earning rave reviews from everyone who plays here. There are some very difficult holes but even if you don’t play well you will love the views as you negotiate the course. The short par-3 17th lives long in the memory as you tee off from a very elevated position to a green some 80 metres below.
As you don’t have much time on this tour then we suggest you stay in Patong or perhaps the Laguna area if you want to avoid the nightlife.
